What We Build
2MAG.IO is not a consulting firm, an agency, or an investment fund. We are a venture builder — a small, focused team that builds operating businesses from scratch and runs them.
Our process starts with a validated gap in the market, not a thesis. We prove the opportunity ourselves before committing capital, then build the infrastructure to operate at margin.
We operate in markets where product knowledge and execution matter more than brand spend — typically hardware, specialised retail, and technology infrastructure. If we can build it cheaper than we can buy it, we build it.
How We Operate
Find a market gap where the incumbent product is overpriced, poorly supported, or absent locally.
Test it ourselves. Run it in a real environment. Understand the customer before listing a single product.
Establish the channel, sourcing, and operations infrastructure. Automate early. Keep overhead minimal.
Hit unit economics targets, then expand the product range and channels systematically.

Smart Homes & Gardens
shg.sg
Singapore's specialist retailer for smart home infrastructure hardware. SHG stocks Zigbee LED controllers, presence sensors, and smart relays validated for Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, and local control environments. Products are tested on a live homelab installation before listing. Sold exclusively on Shopee SG.

Validation before capital
We operate in the market as a customer and practitioner before we spend a dollar on inventory. Every 2MAG venture starts with hands-on testing — not desk research and not a pitch deck.
Automate the operations, not the strategy
We build automation infrastructure early — order ingestion, analytics, supplier workflows. This keeps headcount flat while the business scales. Strategic decisions stay human-led and data-informed.
Margin discipline from day one
We hold a hard minimum gross margin floor across every product, every channel, every sales event. Growth that destroys margin is not growth. We learned this the hard way and built it into every operating rule.
Narrow audience, deep expertise
We do not build products for everyone. We identify audiences with high technical sophistication and genuine unmet needs, then become the most credible operator in that space. Niche is not a limitation — it is a competitive advantage.
Open standards over vendor lock-in
Every product we back works on open protocols — Zigbee, Matter, local MQTT — with no mandatory cloud dependency. This is a product philosophy and a durability thesis: open ecosystems outlast closed ones.
Singapore first, then regional
We prove unit economics locally before any cross-border expansion. Singapore's compressed market, strong logistics, and tech-savvy consumer base makes it an ideal proving ground for hardware and technology ventures targeting Southeast Asia.
